504 Planning
Every student deserves meaningful access to learning and school activities. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act is a federal civil rights law that protects students with disabilities from discrimination in programs and activities that receive federal funding.
When a student may need support at school, the district works with the family and appropriate school staff to understand the student’s needs. If the student is eligible under Section 504, the team may develop a plan describing the services, aids, or adjustments needed for the student to access and participate in school.
Questions or concerns?
If you have questions about Section 504 or believe your child may need an evaluation, please contact your child’s school principal.
